The Lublin Metropolitan Area is located
in Eastern Poland in the central part of the
Lubelskie Voivodeship. It covers the area
of 4221 sq km, which constitutes 16.8 %
of the voivodeship and 1.3 % of the country.
The region encompasses the poviats of:
Lublin (1 680 km
2), Lubartów (1 289 km
2), Łęczna
(637 km
2), Świdnik (468 km
2) and Lublin Municipality
(147 km
2).
The Lublin agglomeration consists of 41 communes located within a distance of approximately 70 km from the region’s capital city - Lublin. It comprises 3 urban communes, 6 semi-urban communes and 32 rural communes including:
Lubartów Poviat communes:
- urban commune: Lubartów
- semi-urban communes: Kock, Ostrów Lubelski
- rural communes: Abramów, Firlej, Jeziorzany, Kamionka, Lubartów, Michów, Niedźwiada, Ostrówek, Serniki, Uścimów.
